Inside a Glacier

Near the Matterhorn Observatory, they had built an ice sculpture exhibit inside the nearby glacier. Some shots from within....

Turned around to see a bundled up group headed back down. We decided we should put some warmer stuff on. We couldn't see the Matterhorn because of clouds, but we could see other stuff...

The Cable Car to the Base of the Matterhorn...

After the gondola we switched to a cable car. We rode a ways and finally could see the last station... It's the little grayish square on the upper right peak below...

Looking off to the left on this last bit of the journey...

And then getting closer to that last station...And then looking back from whence we came...

The second half of that first hike...

But before Switzerland: Andrew's flat & the opera...

Saturday morning after RADA was over, I finished packing and took the tube to Andrew's flat. The first shot is of he and his girlfriend, Nikki, putting up with me in the kitchen. And then that afternoon we took a train to Glyndebourne (http://www.glyndebourne.com/). Once there, we set up our picnic spot and went to change into our formal wear. We returned to the picnic, devoured amazing food and went for a walk around the grounds. The estate house and opera house are pictured in the 3rd picture. The opera was Fidelio. It was excellent. A great afternoon and evening. And then the next day, Andrew and I got up early and traveled to Geneva and Zermatt, Switzerland.
